The Red Cross-Lower Bucks County honors the BCMA
The Bucks County Metaphysical Association, founded in October 2007, was honored June 18, 2009 by the American Red Cross - Lower Bucks County for their outstanding community service to the Red Cross - Lower Bucks County Homeless Shelter. The BCMA holds charity events throughout the year, and donates the proceeds to local Bucks County charities. These events are created to teach the public about wellness, alternative medicine and other areas of metaphysics. So far the BCMA has donated to the Lahaska SPCA, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia - Chalfont branch, BARC, and the American Red Cross. Although they are closed for the summer months, the classes, events, and monthly lectures begin on the second Wednesday evening in September, and continue through June. On-line classes in the subject of Metaphysics begin mid-September 2009. Check back here for details.

The term “Metaphysics” is composed of two words. “Meta” meaning “of higher order or level,” and “physics” meaning “the science of matter and energy and their interactions.” Simply stated, Metaphysics is a higher order of matter and energy. Metaphysics is also considered a “Philosophy.” Philisophy is also composed of two words. “Philo” meaning “love,” and “sophia” meaning “wisdom.” Therefore, we can define the study of Metaphysics as “the desire for a higher knowledge of what is beyond the physical.” Or as we would prefer to think of it as The Philosophical Study of Being and Knowing.
The Association will strive to bring this wonderful wisdom forward. Here, we will study the Philosophy of Religion, which focuses on the belief in a Divine and Spiritual Power. We will also study the philosophies of the Mind, the Stars, the Spirit, the Soul, Ancient Metaphysics, Mythology, Divination, and Wellness. In addition to the above, it is the goal of The Bucks County Metaphysical Association to introduce approaches and issues in the fundamental areas of Philosophy. The areas include topics such as Ethics, Morals, Right Conduct and Action. The key to understanding ethics and morals is found in the “concept of values.” These are to be found in the study of Metaphysics, which restated, is the philosophical study of “Being and Knowing” so that one can enter into the metaphysical State of Being.
It is often emphasized in philosophical circles that ethics and morals are based on the laws of Metaphysics. As stated, our goal for The Bucks County Metaphysical Association is to become a Web of Wisdom that entails many minds…yet one thought. Through discipline and transcendence may we each find our own “Philosopher’s Stone” and know Ourselves!
“The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed.” Albert Einstein
Founded October 3, 2007, this Association is dedicated to the Bucks County Community and will dedicate it’s service to education as well as to the local charities. The BCMA is a non-profit organization. There is a sliding scale fee for membership. The proceeds from programs and events will be donated to individual local charities.
